During the 31st edition of Mining Indaba, the Director General of ANAPI, Rachel Pungu Luamba, captivated the audience by showcasing the vast investment opportunities in the mining sector of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In Cape Town, Ms. Pungu highlighted the unique strengths of the DRC: unparalleled mineral wealth, colossal agricultural potential, and the second-largest tropical rainforest after the Amazon. She also emphasized the government’s vision to position the DRC as an economic leader at the heart of Africa. 🇨🇩

She revealed that thanks to recent legislative reforms, the DRC offers an increasingly attractive business climate, supported by tax and customs incentives. With the confidence of international rating agencies, the country has recently secured significant budgetary support from the IMF.

The Managing Director of ANAPI also announced the upcoming Investors and Donors Conference scheduled for this year, 2025. This event will be organized by the Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation, in collaboration with ANAPI. She encourages companies to engage in this initiative, to join this venture, and to contribute to building a sustainable and prosperous economy in the DRC.
