The National Agency for the Promotion of Investments (ANAPI) organized, on Thursday, February 23, 2023, a business meeting with the members of the Federation of African National Insurance Companies (FANAF) at Sultani Hotel in Kinshasa.

Organized on the sidelines of the 47th General Assembly of the Federation of African National Insurance Companies (FANAF), this meeting focused on the issues of investment and attraction of foreign direct investments in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

During this business meeting under the high patronage of the Ministry of Finance, the Director General of ANAPI, Anthony Nkinzo Kamole, presented to the FANAF delegates the picture of the national business environment with an emphasis on the impact of reforms and priority sectors of investment.
Anthony Nkinzo also invited FANAF participants to choose the Democratic Republic of Congo as their investment destination today.

"It is the path of reason because it opens the way to all business opportunities to exploit. The DRC is the market of all the stakes that offers its advantages in a non-discriminatory way to all national and foreign investors," he said.

For his part, the Minister of Finance, Nicolas Kazadi, affirmed the willingness of the Congolese State to increase the rate of insurance penetration. However, he insisted on sharing experiences with these insurers, especially on the control of compulsory insurance.

For his part, another panelist, Alain Kaninda, Director General of the Insurance Regulatory Authority, presented the technical ecosystem, the potential, and the prospects of compulsory insurance.

ANAPI, it should be remembered, is a public establishment of a technical nature under the supervision of the Ministry of Planning. It has four missions: the promotion of a positive image of the DRC, advocacy for improving the business climate, promotion of the country’s opportunities, and administrative support and services to investors.
Thus, ANAPI offers its services before, during, and after investments.

Before the investment, it provides information and organizes stays to find local partners.

During the investment, it offers administrative support and grants customs, fiscal and parafiscal advantages.

After the investment, it takes care of the established investors, advocacy with state services, and solid partnerships.

The General Assembly of the Federation of African National Insurance Companies took place from 20 to 24 February 2023 in Kinshasa under the theme: "African insurance: how to exploit its potential to the maximum for a shared prosperity."
